Managing Customers

In the Customers module, you can:

Create customer accounts |

Modify customer accounts |

Update custom attributes |
|

Associate customer accounts with stores |
|
•
|
Associate customer accounts with organizations
|

•
|
Manage saved payment preferences |
Important: Once created, customer accounts cannot be deleted. Follow the anonymizing procedure to erase the personal information of a customer. .
There are two types of customers:

Guest - A customer record is not created in the Customer module for a guest user. However, their orders can be found in the Order module. See Filtering Orders for more information. |

Unregistered - These customers have no login account and are created through your commerce website. However they will have their customer information registered in an account. This account type is used when customers place orders on the phone without requiring a username and password. |
|

|
Registered - These are customers who have a login account. A customer record is created in the Customer module and their orders are also displayed in the Order module. |
