There are several methods to create relationships in the Product Management application. This article explains how to create the following relationship types:

Creating relationships from one category to one or many categories
•
Creating relationships from one category to one or many products or variants
Click the ellipsis ... to display the Options Menu.

Click Edit Category.

Click the Relationships tab.

At the bottom right corner of the screen, select:

To create a relationship with one or more categories, click Create Relationships with Categories

In the drop-down menus at the top of the screen, select a Relationship Type and a Link Mode. To find out more about relationship types and link modes, see Merchandising Relationships.

In the category tree, select one or multiple categories by checking their boxes
•
Click Save

To create a relationship with one or more products, click Create Relationships with Products.

Use the catalog's tree structure or the search field on the left to locate the products you wish to use.

Check boxes to select products.
The Next button is not available until at least one product has been selected.

In the drop-down menus at the top of the screen, select a Relationship Type and a Link Mode. To find out more about relationship types and link modes, see Merchandising Relationships.

Verify that all relevant products are selected.

The base product is selected by default. If you need to create a relationship with a variant, click the base product to display the list of variants and select the variant(s) you wish to use.

Click Finish
All the relationships created for the category are displayed in the Relationships tab.
Note : Since the Product Management is under development, it is not currently possible to modify existing relationships. To modify a relationship, delete the current relationship and create a new one. This option will be made available in a later iteration of Orckestra Commerce Cloud.
Expected result
Relationships are displayed by types in the Relationship tab by relationship types.

Note: Relationships are published automatically when created. It is not required to publish the product.
Example
Scenario: You want to create a relationship between two categories.
The video below demonstrates how to create a relationship from a category to 2 sub-categories.
Result: A new relationship between categories is created.
